Drink with Friends
There is big contrast of dining behaviour between Hong Kong and Berlin. HKers rush to night activities after a quick dinner to movie, clubbing, karaoke, etc. While people in Berlin enjoy relaxing dinner with a much slower rhythm with whole night chatting and drinking with friends and family. The tables will be clean after meals with candles and drinks. However, more and more people tapping their photos instead of communicating. The CUPLES is a set of cups must relay on others to stand. Craftsmanship
Why most ceramic pieces are round in shape since ancient times? It’s the stablest form for porcelain as it becomes soft while firing. It’s challenging to product sharp edges with big flat surface. A lot’s of experiment is done to achieve this edges form.
